ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus will be reuniting on stage next month.
The duo will perform at this year’s Olivier Awards alongside the current London Mamma Mia! company. Their appearance will help close the ceremony, which will take place on April 13.
The event, hosted by Gemma Arterton and Stephen Mangan, will not only pay tribute to 15 years of the hit musical, but also coincide with the 40th anniversary of ABBA’s win at Eurovision with the single ‘Waterloo’.
Other performances lined up for the evening include Les Misérables, Matilda the Musical, The Phantom of the Opera and Wicked.
This year’s list of Olivier nominees includes Hayley Atwell, Anna Chancellor, Judi Dench, Joyce DiDonato, Plácido Domingo, Juan Diego Florez, Henry Goodman, Rory Kinnear, Tom Hiddleston, Jude Law and Lesley Manville.
ITV will broadcast a highlights special on April 13 at 10.15pm.
